Early season lesson/clinics are always subject to change due to weather or course conditions! Please note that the student is ALWAYS responsible for the purchase of range balls for each lesson at Fishkill Golf unless otherwise specified.

Lessons purchased individually or with a package must be used in the year they are purchased, and cannot be carried over into the following year. All lesson packages expire October 31st in the year they are purchased.

Lesson appointments require at least 24 hours notice to be changed or canceled, or the student will be charged for the original appointment.

Scheduling a lesson or package indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.

A USGTF Level III Fully Certified Member is one who has successfully completed the certification course and has met all USGTF criteria in the playing, written and teaching aspects of the organization. I achieved Level III Fully Certified status in October of 2002. I have given hundreds of lessons since then to players of all abilities and handicaps. I have worked in the golf business for the last 9 years and garnered several national awards for my skills as a Master Clubmaker and Club Fitter. I have also attended the Golf Professional Training Program at the David Leadbetter Academy in Orlando, Florida.

My teaching methodology utilizes "The American Golf Teaching Method™", which provides students with the most accelerated learning process available. Two words can best describe this method of teaching that has allowed me to become the area's most sought after golf instructor: SIMPLE and FUN! I realize that no two golfers swing the same way. This is where the advantage of The American Golf Teaching Method™ becomes evident. No matter how you swing, I am skilled in applying these fundamentals to your game. You will enjoy the results!

I have provided fittings and lessons to players of all skills and abilities, from absolute beginners to TOUR Players. During the golf season lessons are offered at Fishkill golf Course and Driving Range, which features grass hitting stations, lighted, heated, and covered hitting stations, a short game area which includes genuine playing areas for chipping, pitching, putting and sand play. We have a 12 hole golf course and full service restaurant. It truly is one of the best golf facilities in the Northeast.

The United States Golf Teachers Federation® was founded and incorporated in 1989. It is the largest organization of golf teaching professionals in the world, with the main office located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. The aim of the USGTF is to train and certify well qualified teaching professionals to serve the American golf public.

A Level III Fully Certified Member is one who has successfully completed the 6-day certification course and has met all USGTF criteria in the playing, written and teaching aspects of the organization.

The Playing Ability Test
Takes place on the last two days of certification and has these requirements:
2 rounds averaging 83 or less on a regulation course, a total score of 166 or less.
Women: Two rounds averaging 85 or less with a total score of 170 or less.
Senior Division Men: Age 50-59: 168. Age 60-69: 172. Age 70+: 176.
Senior Division Women: Age 50-59: 172. Age 60+: 176.
Written Rules Test
Multiple choice questions. USGA Rule Book is issued to you and permitted during test along with the easier to understand version, "Rules in Brief."
Verbal Teaching Test
This is based on detection and correction of swing errors. It will be taught to you during the course of the week so that you feel comfortable in this scenario.

MISSION STATEMENT

The United States Golf Teachers Federation, through innovative, effective swing mechanics, and teaching methodology, establishes a national and international standard in training and certification for professional golf teachers. In addition, the USGTF provides services for its members and promotes the organization and the golf teaching profession.
